The BG-Sentinel and the BG-Lure were developed by Biogents AG, a spin-off from the Institute of Zoology at the University of Regensburg, Germany. Biogents' aim is to transfer the findings and expertise from fifteen years of academic research ( 130 kb) in the fields of insect behaviour, chemical ecology, and medical entomology into innovative products for the pest control market.

Besides developing our own line of mosquito traps and attractants, BioGents also offers services as a contract R&D partner and consultant for producers of insect repellents, traps or attractants for household pest insects, and similar products.
